From Returns Pile to Resale: The No-Code System for Fast Restocking

Is your 'returns pile' a black hole for profit? Perfectly good fashion items sit for weeks, your online stock levels are a mess, and you're losing sales because you can't get returned products back on the virtual shelf fast enough. This operational chaos costs you money and creates unnecessary stress for your team.

This playbook provides a bare-bones, low-cost system to bring order to your returns chaos. Using a simple digital checklist, your team can quickly inspect and grade returned items. This action automatically triggers a notification for a manager to update inventory directly in your Shopify POS. It's a straightforward, manual-first approach that eliminates decision-making delays and gets sellable stock back online in hours, not weeks—all without writing a single line of code.

Expected Outcomes

  • Drastically reduce the time products spend in the returns pile.
  • Improve online stock accuracy, preventing overselling and missed sales.
  • Implement a standardized, easy-to-follow process for all team members.
  • Increase cash flow by getting resellable items back in inventory faster.
  • Launch a working returns system in a matter of days with minimal technical effort.

Integration Logic

  • ShopFloor Sync

A new submission in a designated Jotform triggers a Make scenario. Make retrieves the form data (e.g., customer details, product SKU, quantity, custom notes). It then searches for an existing customer in Shopify by email. If the customer doesn't exist, a new one is created. Finally, Make uses the customer and product information to create a new draft order in Shopify, which can then be processed through Shopify POS. This creates a seamless data flow from a custom form to an actionable order.
